Pet Passport Local stores profiles, care records, documents, receipt photos, expenses, journal entries, reminders, and settings in browser storage on the device being used. Those records are not uploaded to the Hostinger website and are not sent to a PetInsuranceAI.com database by the local application.
Browser-local storage is not an account system. Anyone with access to the same unlocked device and browser profile may be able to open the records. Clearing site data, private browsing, browser cleanup, storage pressure, device loss, or device failure may remove them. Owners should download regular backups and keep original veterinary records independently.
Uploaded files are limited to supported image and PDF formats but are not malware scanned, independently verified, or protected by server-side ownership checks. Optional encrypted backup files use a password chosen by the user, and PetInsuranceAI.com cannot recover that password.
Cloud synchronization, secure recipient links, remote recovery, and account access require a separate reviewed backend and remain unavailable in local mode. Review Pet Passport Local and its storage notice.
