Pet Passport Local stores information in this browser on this device. Clearing site data, using private browsing, changing browser profiles, losing the device, browser cleanup software, storage pressure, or a device failure may permanently remove the records.
Download regular backups and keep original veterinary records somewhere independent. Do not rely on this tool as the only source for emergency medication instructions, treatment decisions, proof of vaccination, insurance eligibility, or clinical history.
Uploaded files are restricted to common image and PDF formats and are kept in browser storage. They are not uploaded to Hostinger, but they are also not malware scanned, independently verified, or protected by server-side ownership checks. Anyone who can use the same unlocked browser profile may be able to open the local passport.
Encrypted backup files use a password chosen by the user. There is no password-recovery process. Losing that password may make the backup permanently inaccessible.
Cloud features remain visible without pretending they work
Pet Passport Local can complete many owner tasks entirely in the browser. Controls that require secure accounts, server storage, synchronization, or remote messaging stay visible as clearly labeled preview controls. Selecting one explains what infrastructure would be required.
